I became a therapist in 2001 and did my associate hours with Catholic Charities outside of New York City from 2001-2008. Working with a wide variety of families and children gave me a talent for helping families talk and reunite. I passed the national licensing exam in 2008. My family and I moved to the California in 2010 and I re-started my career again working in the San Mateo county legal system and then began my own private practice. Observing the family court system, I became passionate about mediation and ways to help people resolve conflict peacefully. I am certified in mediation and have special training in couples counseling. I am also trained in techniques that help with trauma such as brain spotting and attachment-based ideal parent protocol and gestalt therapy. I am a supervisor and occasional teacher at Shine a Light Counseling Center in Santa Cruz.
